Tony
Hamati is
a chef and co-owner of Bravo! Bistro in Scottsdale. Bravo! Bistro
is a Mediterranean-Italian style of cuisine. Chef Hamati studied
food, beverage and
Hotel Management at the Culinary School of Jordan. He then continued
his education at the Culinary of the Sobornne, Paris. Chef Hamati
specialized in courses in food and beverage management, service,
control, and sanitation through the American Hotel and Motel Association.
Chef Hamati started his career in 1980 as sous-chef at the Royal
Palace of Jordan. There he worked with several different styles
of cuisines for State dinners, where guests included dignitaries
and leaders from around the world. Upon moving to the United States
in 1985, Chef Hamati worked as banquet chef at the Arizona Biltmore
Resort.Prior to opening Bravo!
Bistro in 1996, Chef Hamati spent years as the General Manager
of Tomaso's, a local Italian restaurant. During that time, he
also worked with Lauren Film Productions on the film "Mafia
Marriage". Chef Hamati prepared the food used in the scenes,
for the actors and production crew ranging, from 100-500 people,
three times a day. Chef Hamati's style of cooking is always healthy
and fresh. He uses local farmers, organic fruits and vegetables
and the freshest meats and seafood when preparing all of his dishes.
He has made numerous appearances on local cooking shows, participated
in many charity events including the Boy's and Girl's Club, Scottsdale
Symphony, and the American Heart Association, to name a few. The
talent he possesses has ensured Bravo! Bistro a position in the
"Top Twenty Restaurants" in Phoenix.
