Steve
Marks is originally from Long Island, New York and has always
had a passion for the Restaurant business.
He
began his career at the early age of 13. Steve worked his way
up from a dishwasher to owning his own restaurant. He has worked
at many fine-dining establishments and has received several certificates
for wine training and food service.
Steve
graduated from Arizona State University in 1980 where he earned
his degree in Pre-Law. After graduation, he worked for the
Hyatt Regency as a Corporate Manager. He then opened his own consulting
firm and managed restaurants while producing an Industry Newsletter
with his company.
Steve
worked at Tomaso's fine-dining cuisine for 14 years where he held
several positions including bartender, head server, restaurant
manager and eventually General manager overseeing five locations.
He
worked in the Phoenix area for 23 years. Upon leaving Tomaso's,
he opened Bravo! Bistro in Scottsdale in 1995. Over the last six
years, he has won numerous awards for the cuisine and for Best
New Restaurant In Scottsdale.
Bravo!
Bistro has been reviewed in several major publications in the
Phoenix Metro area. He has also appeared on local TV, including
the Beth and Bill Cooking Show on Channel 3. Steve has hosted
many charity events such as the AIDS Benefit and the American
Heart Association Charity Benefit.
Steve
is happiest when he is greeting customers and catching up on the
news from all his loyal clientele. He continues his vision to
offer quality, courteousness and commitment to service.
